Delicious Wood Stove Dishes

Is Your Power Out? There are many meals that can be cooked on top of a wood stove! Here are some of our favorites.

Wood stoves are great for cooking soups and stews because they can simmer for a long time without burning, just out a pot on the top of the stove and let it cook away. 

Roasts can be cooked on top of a wood stoves by placing a roasting plan on top of the stove and cooking the roast in the pan. This works especially well if you have a wood stove with a flat top.

Wood stoves are great for cooking pancakes because they heat up evenly and can cook the pancakes to a perfect golden brown. Just put a pan on top of the stove and cook the pancakes until they are fluffy and delicious.
