Outside Sales Associate

Job Summary
The Outside Sales Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships across residential and commercial construction markets, including new construction and remodeling. This role focuses on hearth products such as fireplaces, stoves, and outdoor living solutions, while also identifying opportunities to establish ongoing service contracts. The position works closely with builders, contractors, architects, designers, property managers, and owners to support projects from concept through completion, including multi-unit properties such as retirement communities, hotels, and other commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain current relationships with residential and commercial builders, remodelers, architects, designers, property managers, and owners
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities across new construction, remodeling, and commercial projects
  • Assist clients in selecting appropriate fireplace, stove, and outdoor living solutions for both residential and commercial applications
  • Prepare and present bids, specifications, and proposals for construction and renovation projects
  • Proactively identify and secure service and maintenance contracts, particularly within multi-unit properties
  • Build long-term partnerships with property managers and owners of multi-family housing, retirement communities, hotels, and similar facilities
  • Manage a consistent pipeline of projects and service opportunities
  • Maintain detailed records of project and service activity within CRM systems
  • Stay current on product knowledge, building codes, and industry trends related to hearth products

Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction processes
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to identify long-term revenue opportunities through service agreements

Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience (construction, hearth, or related industry preferred)
  • Experience working with builders, contractors, property managers, or commercial clients
  • Familiarity with fireplaces, stoves, venting, or outdoor living products is a plus
  • Experience selling into multi-unit or commercial environments is highly desirable
  • Experience with CRM systems

Performance Expectations
  • Maintain and grow current business with existing residential, commercial, and service contracts
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets for products and services
  • Expand presence within builder, contractor, and property management communities
  • Drive growth in long-term service and maintenance agreements

Compensation Structure

Inside Sales Associate

Responsibilities:
As a forward-facing member of the Home Fire Stove & Grill City Team, the Inside Sales Associate will be required to:

  • Provide consistent and outstanding service to all call-in and walk-in customers by developing a thorough knowledge of all Home Fire Stove products, demonstrating their features and uses.
  • Drive sales growth through consistent daily effort.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls.
  • Follow a structured, consultative sales process to guide customers through their purchasing decisions and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Learn and implement the Home Fire Stove sales process, including lead follow-up procedures.
  • Utilize the company's CRM system to manage customer interactions, track leads, and ensure follow-through.
  • Write up estimates and manage a personal pipeline of leads.
  • Demonstrate willingness to follow instructions and be teachable.
  • Maintain a clean and stocked showroom and workspace.

 

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license.
  • Must possess effective communication and verbal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, QuickBooks, Excel, and Google Calendar.

Lead Installer

Home Fire Stove & Grill City has been a hearth industry leader for over 40 years and is looking to expand our Installation Team. Service Center Coordinator

Home Fire Stove & Grill City is looking for a motivated, hardworking individual with office management experience to be our new Service Center Coordinator. Home Fire Stove & Grill City has been a hearth industry leader for over 40 years and is looking to bring an experienced and highly motivated individual on to our team. As a forward-facing member of the Home Fire Stove Management Team, the Service Center Coordinator will be required to:

  • Answer telephone calls, handling all customer concern and questions with professionalism
  • Manage all service parts ordering and tracking, coordinating with warehouse manager to ensure timely arrival of all service parts.
  • Schedule service and work orders, optimizing technician’s time by managing areas and projects
  • Manage service center customer database
  • Manage and oversee employee uniform stocking and adjustments, proper quantities and cleanliness
  • Create, manage and coordinate annual Comfort Plan member’s reminders, calling plan members for priority scheduling
  • Manage and maintain HFS service database
  • Assist with walk-in customer’s parts needs and pick ups
  • Maintain the appearance and function of the service center showroom

 

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in customer service preferred
  • 1+ year’s supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to think strategically and lead
  • Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
