From 1979 to Today

In the heart of Salem, a story of warmth and commitment began in 1979. Home Fire Stove opened its doors during a time when the world was grappling with skyrocketing energy costs. Our answer? To offer a beacon of comfort and reliability to our community. In 1981, Tim Nissen purchased the business and steered it to new heights, even amid economic challenges. His vision and dedication laid the foundation for what Home Fire Stove would become.

Jeff, our current owner, joined Tim in this journey and worked alongside him for 22 years, absorbing invaluable knowledge and contributing to the company's growth. In 2016, Jeff took the helm from Tim, who continues to serve as a trusted mentor. Under Jeff's leadership, Home Fire Stove has flourished, solidifying its reputation as the premier fireplace and stove store in Oregon. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction remains unwavering, and we are proud to continue serving our community with the same passion and excellence that started it all.
